On Saturday morning we got up, had some breakfast, got all wrapped up and went to explore our new neighbourhood.

Kayle got all bundled up nice and warm because the wind was blowing really hard.

This is the river that runs just behind our garden.

We walked along the river as far as we could go and then back again... it was really nice to get up and have a nice walk in the fresh air... I'm liking this new 'living in the country' thing!

The river has a little beach for the local residents. It got ruined a bit when they had big floods not too long ago, but everyone is going to pitch in and clean it up so that it can be used in the summer.

Towards the end of the river, right before it turns, there is a little quiet calm bit that everyone swims in. I can't wait to see it in the summer... bit too cold to swim in at the moment!
