I'm ready for more sun... bring it on!

Mummy bought me some cool sunglasses today so that I am all ready for the sunshine... when it comes back!

Sun... are you sure?!

The sun was beaming yesterday so Kayle and I headed to the park with Maja, the little girl I look after. Kayle enjoyed the sun alot, she got to wear her cute little skirt/ shorts!

We want more sun!

Tulips Galore

We headed up to the Skagit Tulip Festival with Emily & Marc yesterday. It took us an hour or so to get there but it was well worth it, the flowers were just amazing.
We went into a paid tulip field and it was fantastic, I have never seen anything quite like it... bright colours as far as you can see.

I really liked the pink ones.

The owners of the paid fields often plant one random coloured tulip in the middle of a row just for fun.

It was quite muddy because of the amount of rain we have had recently.

Not all of the tulips had bloomed because of the unusual weather this year.

These tulips were my ultimate favorites, they were so different compared to the rest.

While we we were walking around, we heard an English accent, so we headed over to see who it was. Whatt we found made our day... the English guy was wearing old school Nike's! We had to get a photo for you all to see!

We had a great day with great friends.
These are daffodills as far as the eye can see!

Solids... not quite

Kayle got to eat 'solid' food for the first time today... we gave her some rice cereal to see if she is ready to start eating solid food... as you can tell from the photos, she wasn't quite sure about it.
She did start off well and ate a little bit but changed her mind about it as we got through the bowl.

She became more interested in playing with the spoon and biting it!

I think we will wait a few days and then try again... I don't think she is quite ready just yet.

5 years already... where is time going? Anyone?

Jason and I celebrated our 5 year wedding anniversary in style... by hitting the local mountains yesterday to "carve up the powder". My 'cousin' Richard came with us while his amazing wife Hannah looked after Kayle all day.

We were planning on being home by 3pm so Hannah got some time to herself, but avalanche control had to be done on the mountain right next to the motorway we were supposed to take home... so we got stuck at the mountain for another hour because the road was covered in snow. I know it sounds like a likely story, but it was true... promise!

We had a great day and Jason and I were SO grateful to Hannah for looking after Kayle for
us, its not everyday that we get to go snowboarding and get a babysitter! Thanks Hannah!

Jump, Jump, Jumperoo

Kayle got a cool new toy yesterday... its called a 'Jumperoo'.

We got it because our wonderful daughter NEVER wants to sit down... all she seems to want to do it stand up and jump so this wonderful contraption was perfect! As soon as we put her in it she started jumping and bouncing around!
Success... She likes it...
Thanks Granny & Grandad!
