Flowflows

Jason, Kayle and I took Sue, Jason's Mum to the Annual Tulip Festival at the weekend, while she was here last week. We packed up the car and hit the road.
Kayle was quite the entertainment on the journey!
When we arrived we headed straight to 'RozsenGarden' which is a huge tulip bulb harvesting garden and had fun walking around looking at the amazing gardens.
Kayle found a new friend... a huge black bug, that she was extremely proud of!
Thank goodness it was dead! She wouldn't let us even touch it!

We planted Kayle and Jason in the middle of some of the gardens so that we could get some cute photos...

When we were done walking around the gardens, Kayle found something new to play with and threw away her bug!

Then we hit the tulip fields! It started raining so there was mud everywhere... it was really slippery too. Kayle managed to face plant in the biggest puddle! All she kept saying was 'Mum essy'! It was so cute! Then once she was 'essy' she thought that there was no point avoiding the other puddles... she headed straight for each and every one of them!
Kayle had fun walking in the puddles with her 'Grammie'.

The rain had stopped by the time we finished walking around the fields, and Kayle found herself another new friend!
Once we were done in the 'Roszengarden' fields, we went for a drive to find the other fields that were in bloom. We found this one! It was just fantastic to look at.
It was especially amazing to see from across an empty tulip field! You could see the bright colours so far away!

Bath Time fun

Jason put in our new shower last week and Kayle LOVES it! She has so much fun playing with the new tape and shower.
I had to capture her fascination on camera!

Eggs, Eggs, Where are you?

Kayle go to take part in her first Easter Egg hunt on Sunday. We went to some friends house for a yummy big dinner and then the kids got to search for eggs!

Kayle did such a good job looking around and finding them!

She didn't have a basket to put them in so we stuffed them in her pockets.
The one problem came when an older kid found an empty egg in the grass and convinced Kayle to switch her egg full of sweets with his empty one! Kayle just handed over the goodies!
It was hilarious seeing her walk around all happy that she had found 1 empty egg!
Maybe next year she will understand better!

Training her young

Jason and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary a few days ago... I can't believe it has been 6 years already! Where has that time gone!

To celebrate, we had some friends look after Kayle for us while we went out for a yummy 'All you can eat' dinner. We had some extra time to waste after dinner before we had to pick up Kayle so we headed to the shops to look for some ceiling fans. We decided to buy each other one as our presents for our anniversary! (The joys of being a home owner!)

Well, we put the first one up and boy did Kayle have fun with the packaging! She destroyed the polystyrene packaging in 5 minutes and made a huge mess... the good thing was, that she wanted to hoover up for me!
She wouldn't let me do any of it! She wouldn't even let me touch the hoover!
I'm training her young! hehe!

Snow Day

Last weekend Jason and I went snowboarding with some friends and took Kayle to play in nice deep snow for the first time. We bundled her up in all her snow gear and headed up the mountain. At first she was a little confused by it all, but she 'warmed' up to it and actually wanted to touch and play with it all.

Jason found her some nice deep snow to play in...

When it came time to leave, boy, was she mad at us!
But fun was had by all... and Jason and I had some seriously sore body parts at the end of the day.
