We have visitors

Last week, Jesi, Ryan & Jonah came up to see us. We had so much fun with them taking to all the fun places, basically trying to sell Washington to them!
They arrived on Wednesday night & we grabbed some yummy dinner and then headed home.
Thursday, Kayle & I took them into Seattle while Jason was working. We went to the normal 'tourist' spots like Pikes Place Market & the Space Needle.
Friday, we took them up to the San Juan Islands & went out on the boat. Jason & I have wanted to go out on the boat up there because thats where all the Killer Whales (Orca's) are.
Unfortunately, we didn't get to see any while we were there.
This was Kayle's first boat ride. She did really well & seemed to enjoy the bumps & watching the water speed past! She actually slept most of the time!

It was a little chilly, but it was a fun day zooming around all the islands.

Jason & I took them to the river at the back of our house for an 'adventure'.
Jesi & Jonah found a cool tree to play on.

We sat Kayle & Jonah on a big tree to take some photos & they just
sat there together, it was fun to watch!

On Saturday, we just chilled out & went to our local lake for a picnic lunch. Jason & Jonah having fun at the lake.

Jonah had so much fun at the lake throwing stones & climbing in the trees.

After we had lunch we headed to Snoqualimie Falls, the big waterfalls near our house.

We hiked down to the bottom of the falls to get some more photos and to see what it was like... Jason & I have never been down there before.

Jason really wanted to take Jonah on the cool old train that goes from our house to the waterfalls, so on Sunday we got up, had some lunch & then went on a train ride! Jonah had so much fun, we all did. The views from the track in Snoqualimie were amazing.
Jonah with his ticket ready to give to the conductor.

We had a great time with Jesi, Jonah & Ryan... Yes, Ryan was here too but he was taking all the photos, hence why he isn't on here at all!

Animals Galore

Jason and I took Kayle to the Seattle Zoo yesterday with our new friends.
We had so much fun. Kayle had a wonderful time. I don't think her eyes have been so wide.
Kayle spent most of the day with this expression on her face!
She had lots of fun with her new friends.

We had a great time and saw so many cool animals.

Some cute Kayle shots

We took some cute shots of Kayle over the last week that we wanted to share.

Solids... better luck 2nd time around!

We gave Kayle some more solids at the beginning of the week and she certainly did much better this time. She actually ate most of it! Now that Kayle can sit up on her own she was able to sit up much better in her little high chair. She was very proud of herself!
She munched away on her Rice Cereal and had lots of fun playing with the spoon too!

The finished product was actually alot messier than our first try!
Because she did so well with her rice cereal we also gave her some squash and banana this week... she ate all of it and enjoyed it!
Success with Solids at last!

My 1st Mothers Day

My 1st Mothers Day was wonderful. I was completely spoilt by my wonderful husband, daughter and friends. It all started on Friday afternoon when I arrived home to find a beautiful bunch of roses on my doorstep from my friend Natalia... they are so bright and colourful, I love them.

Then saturday morning I woke up and went and got my hair cut, which always makes you feel great... but especially after you haven't had your hair cut in about 4 months!
Then we spent the afternoon as a family gardening in the gorgeous sunshine... I finally got around to planting my Lilly bulbs and weeding my flowers beds and Jason cut the grass. As for Kayle... she got to sit in her Jumperoo all afternoon!
Saturday evening we got invited to a BBQ by some new friends and we had a great evening getting to know everyone.
Then Sunday after church we had a BBQ with Emily, Marc, Hannah, Richard, Thea and our new next door neighbours Pat & Ed.
Emily bought me some gorgeous Iris' for Mothers Day.
I had a wonderful 1st Mothers Day... Thank you everyone!
