Go Chargers...

While we were in California, we got to meet up with old friends and they surprised us with a trip to the San Diego Chargers Football game... this is Jason's most fun thing to do!
So, we met up with them early Sunday morning, drove down to San Diego and headed to the game.

We had AMAZING seats...

We had a great time cheering on the Chargers!

So grateful to amazing friends for this unique experience!
Thank you Frank and Diane!

Cali baby!

Jason and I made a decision... our family motto is to Make Memories... so, we have decided to take off to California for a week.  We have 2 weeks till Jason can go back to work, so we have decided to drive down to California to see his sister, then drive with them up to Oregon where we will spend a week with his parents as well just hanging out.

So, I got everything all packed up and ready to go... I made this jumbo sandwich for the journey!

Before we could leave, I had to go and meet with my doctors to have some blood tests and to get a refill on my pills.  Not the best way to start the day, but all went well.

Our drive down to California took us 17 hours, but we made it!  We drove straight through!  We played a game while we were driving... we would read the road names and we would then post on Facebook i we knew someone with that same name as the road.  It passed the time and actually was quite fun to play!

When we got there we stayed the first night at Jesi's house.  She invited me to go to work with her... she had a photo shoot the following morning that she wanted me to go and help her with.  I had the best time...

We drove up to Huntington Beach the following  morning to meet my very good friend Natalia for breakfast and a walk along the beach.

I was so happy that I got to meet her little boy!  He is such a cutie!  Kayle loved playing with him too!

It was wonderful getting to spend time with Jonah, Mav and River... my nephews and niece.  River has got so big since I last saw her!  I love her so much!  It's crazy... she was born the day I found out that my cancer had come back... she is kind of like a little living hope for the future!

Kayle had a wonderful time with her cousins!

Jonah and Kayle had a great time on the beach!  Kayle doesn't get to go to the beach very much so this was a wonderful experience for her.

We invited our friends to come over for a BBQ so that Kayle could spend some time with them.  They had a blast running around the garden!

Jason had so much fun hanging out with Maverick!

... and River...

It was really nice for me to spend some fun girlie time with my friend Natalia... I love her!  We have so much fun together!

We took the kids to Disneyland while we were in California.  Kayle has been once before but didn't really remember any of it, plus she was young and had forgotten what it was like.  We took the kids on all the rides... ate good food and just had a really fun time!

Kayle had a great time seeing the Princesses.  She got to meet Rapunzel which she was excited about.

We got to go to the new Cars land in Calfornia Adventure.  It was so well put together.  We went on the Cars ride.  It was so fun but Kayle was a little scared.

The following day Jesi and I took Kayle and Jonah out for lunch... they got these cool glasses with their lunch and had so much fun playing with them!

WE met up with some friends for a firepit on the beach... the sunset was amazing.  It was really fun just sitting chatting with them all and catching up.  I miss them!

Big Girl Haircut

Kayle and I decided that it was probably best if we got her hair cut... brushing her long hair was getting more  and more difficult, so we went for the chop!

AFTER

Our little girl is getting big... she looks so grown up with her new haircut!

Camping... and Boating!

So, we continued our journey and headed to Lake Chelan to go camping with all our friends... there were about 70 of us this year!

We had so much fun just hanging out on the boats, wake boarding, tubing and swimming!

Kayle had such a good time swimming in the lake... she swam from the beach to the back of the boat with her friends...

While we were there, there was a terrible thunder storm with crazy lightning.  The lightning struck the back side of the mountain and started a fire... when it was time for us to leave, the fire had come so far down the other side that it had closed our way out.  We had to take another road out.

The smoke was terrible!

While we were away, Kayle got a fabulous sparkly tattoo from our friend Tara... she loved it!

We had such a wonderful time with our friends... as always!

Idaho... hoooooo

Jason, Kayle and I got invited to go to Idaho with some friends... so we packed up the boat and headed East.

We decided to head out and stay just outside Idaho and then finish the final 30 minutes the following morning so that we had a nice day on the lake.

As you can tell, my sweet Kayle enjoyed being on the boat!

We took a walk around Coeur D'Alane and went to the sweet shop...

Then we headed back on the lake and dropped anchor and hung out in the water for a bit.

Our friends arrived not long after that and we had such a wonderful time hanging out on the boat, wake boarding, eating ice cream and just laughing!

Kayle and I took advantage of the sunshine and took some funny photos!

We had an amazing time...
... we packed up and headed back to Washington for our family camping trip with friends.

More fun with Granny & Grandad... and Beth!

My Mum, Dad and cousin's daughter Beth, came over to see us!  We had a very busy trip planned!  First stop... Whidbey Island for some fun on the beach with friends.
Beth, Anna and Kayle had a great time covering themselves in clay!

Beth got to fish too!

I love my Daddy!

It was so nice getting to hang out and relax with friends!

We also got to go to the zoo in Seattle with Hannah and Thea who were also over from England.

We had a great time looking at all the animals.

Beth and Kayle got to touch a little lizard while at the zoo!

Beth was loving all the American food.  She picked some fun cereal!

We also took a day and went into Seattle.  We went to Pike's Place Market and up the Space Needle.

Beth and Kayle had fun posing outside the EMP at the base of the Needle.

Getting ready to head up the Needle.

Heading up.... higher and higher...

At the top...

Once we were done up the Needle, we went to this fantastic glass exhibition.  I have never seen anything like it before.  I guess the artist is really famous, but I can't seem to remember his name!

We also went to the North Bend Farmers Market and got some beautiful flowers and shaved ice.

Strawberry Daquiris were on the menu too!  (Of course the girls were virgin!)

Ours weren't though!

Beth thought it was really scary that we have bear warnings by our bins!

We had to hit the Irish Bar in honor of Jenny... and have a pint of Guiness!

Shopping was also on the list of fun things to do!

Swimming in our pool was also on our list of fun things to do.  Kayle had so much fun playing with her Grandad in the pool!  She has really got confident in the water.

Next stop... the Great Wheel on the docks of Seattle.  We had never been on here either, so it was all new to us.

It was a bit high up... and scary!

But, we all had lots of fun!

Our time together was amazing... as always!  I love it when my parents come to visit!
