Saying Goodbye

Well, today was our last day... we had to say goodbye. Kayle helped Grandad put on his shoes, like she did every morning and then it was time to head to the airport. Because of the terrorist attack we had to leave a little extra time.
We took some last photos and headed to the airport.
We had a wonderful time with my family and enjoyed every minute... now we can't wait for them to all come out and see us in July.
(We had better get busy on finishing the house!)

Our 2nd Christmas

On Sunday, Steven got discharged from hospital so we all went over to his house to have a '2nd Christmas'. We took everyone's Christmas presents and Sophie cooked us a delicious dinner. It was fun to hang out with Steven & Sophie at their house the night before we were leaving.

Kayle got even more presents... I am hoping we can fit them all on the airplane!

After we had eaten and opened all our presents, we got out Bert... Steven & Sophies Bearded Dragon.

Kayle had fun watching Bert run around and she even touched his spiky skin... it was fun.

Then, we were lucky enough to have a last minute vivist from Gianni and his family. His kids are so cute and are getting so big. It was great to see them!

Boxing Day was fun this year... again, it was quiet... actually, no it wasn't at all! With Bethany, Leah Louise & Kayle running around, it wasn't quiet in the slightest! It was fun though! We all sat down and had another nice big Christmas dinner and then after we hit the presents. All the kids got spoiled rotten!

Leah had so much fun playing with Kayle.

Bethany wanted me to teach her how to use my posh new camera so I gave her a quick lesson and she took some great shots. We had fun messing around with the camera together.

Kayle's First English Christmas

25th December 2009 was Kayle's first English Christmas... and boy, did she have fun! It was an unusual Christmas this year because Steven was in hospital, but we made the most of it.
We got up when Kayle woke up and headed downstairs for some breakfast and some presents. At first Kayle was a little unsure of what to do, but once she was shown what to do she got right into it.

After we opened a few presents, we all got dressed and headed up to the hospital to see Steven and to wish him a Merry Christmas. He was doing really well when we saw him. He is in having Chemotheraphy for his cancer. We found out just a week ago that it is back and that they need to get it straight away. We were going to take presents up to him and have a mini-Christmas but we decided to wait till he got home and have a 2nd Christmas.
When we got home it was a very quiet dinner for us... Kayle enjoyed her dinner!

So did Jason and Dad!!!

Then, in the evening, we chilled out with boxes of chocolate, brandy & traditional English Television! We had a really fun, relaxed time with Mum and Dad.

Cousins together

Kayle got to meet her cousins for the first time... they were so cute together.

Father Christmas + Kayle = Scared Baby clinging to Grandad

On Sunday 20th, the whole family packed up & moved out for a trip on the Watercress Line to meet Father Christmas. We had lots of nice snow the day before to add to the day out.

When Father Christmas came into our carriage, he scared the living daylights out of Kayle! She clung to my Dad for dear life!
After our train ride, we all went out for a yummy Christmas dinner.

Family Get-together

On Sunday 13th December, we had a ton of people over to meet Kayle.First to arrive was one of my bestest friends Lyndsay with her little boy. Kayle & Henry were so cute playing together... We got an arranged marriage all planned!
Kayle also got to meet her Great Aunty kathy for the first time.
She had fun playing with my cousins children too.
My cousin Kerrie had fun with kayle too... she hung around to help with giving Kayle a bath.

Trains, Planes & Automobiles

Kayle got to ride on an airplane for the first time on the 14th December when we went back to England for Christmas. She did really well on the flight over because she slept most of the time. The time change was a bit hard, we had lots of fun at 3am on a few mornings. The best was when I came downstairs to see where Kayle was and found my Mum and her playing at 1.30am!!
Kayle also got to ride on a proper train for the first time.
Jason and I took her to Windsor for the day.
