Let it Snow

I was woken up nice and early on Boxing Day by my wonderful daughter because she was hungry and got the chance to talk to the family on Skype. When I say 'The Family' I mean the WHOLE FAMILY! My Dad's side of the family was at my parents house and we got to see them all and have a nice chat. It was fun.

Once all of Jason's family was up and ready we headed up the mountain to Kirkwood Ski Resort for our traditional day of snowboarding.
As you can see there was lots of nice fresh snow! It made for a wicked day of boarding! Jonah had tons of fun in the snow. He played with his sledge and even got on his snowboard and stayed up as he rode down a small hill. We were so proud of him.Unfortunately, I was so caught up in boarding that i completely forgot to take any photos of Kayle in the snow. She wasn't literally 'In The Snow' but I wanted to take a photo of her next to the snow but totally forgot!

Never mind... The boarding was great!

Christmas by the Lake

On Christmas Day, we got up had some breakfast and then hit the lake! We packed up the cars with some good food, wood, bikes and chairs and headed to the big Lake for a bonfire lunch.
As you can tell from the picture, we all wrapped up nice and warm because it was a little windy.
Here is Kayle and I during our 'photo shoot'! Jason's Mum took some shots of us together because I don't have hardly any of Kayle and I... I am always the one behind the camera.

Kayle was all bundled up in her new fleece onesie. She looked so cute.
Jason... enjoying his 'First Christmas'!
(The Bib was actually Kayle's, just in case you thought he was a messy eater!!)
Kayle snuggled with Mummy by the fire.
The boys went on a bike ride so Jonah could use his new bike seat that he got for Christmas.
Jonah and Ryan having fun fun fun.
We had a great day... it was nice to be outdoors all day enjoying the sunshine.

She's A Smiler!

Last week we noticed that Kayle was smiling... at least we thought she was. We weren't sure if she just had the farts or was pooing, but as the week has gone on we are sure that they are real smiles!
Her first smile...
It developed into this...And then this morning she treated me with this...

It so exciting to see her develop her features!

Up Up and Away

Last night Jason was playing with Kayle while I cooked dinner when all of a sudden I hear a shout from the living room from Jason.
I rush in expecting to see them both covered in sick or blood but what I do see is..... Kayle sitting on Jason's lap holding her head up all by herself!
I rushed for the camera...

Heading south to San Deigo

Today, we all got up nice and early, got ready and headed down to San Diego for the day.
We packed up Kayle's bag and a yummy lunch and hit the 5 south.
We headed to La Jolla first and walked up and down the beach side road and then sat and enjoyed our lunch.
We then went to Downtown San Diego and walked around the Seaport Village for a little while. We were all getting tired and hungry so we headed to Coronado to get some 'dinner' even though it was only 4pm!
We got up so early that our eating was all off!
We found a nice little Irish Pub and got something small to eat... Mum's nachos were just 'something small to keep her going' and they ended up being the biggest of all our food! Mum and Dad enjoyed a nice pint of Guiness!

Dana Point Harbour with Granny & Grandad

Yesterday, Granny, Grandad, Kayle & I decided to take advantage of the lovely sunshine and take a nice walk around Dana Point Harbour and get some lunch.
We got Kayle all ready and headed for the Harbour.
She loves her new little cat that 'The Gibbs Gang' bought her!We went to 'Wind and Sea' and got a yummy sandwich to eat. Kayle was great and stayed asleep the whole time... that was, until my lunch arrived!
We walked all around the harbour enjoying the sunshine. When there is sunshine... there are ice creams!!

Fun times with Granny & Grandad

Here are some great shots of Kayle, Granny & Grandad just chilling out at home.

Shopping with Grandad

Granny and Grandad took Kayle food shopping yesterday.
When it was time to pay and the shopping trolley was supposed to go through the left side of the counter and us through the right side, Grandad didn't want to let Kayle go!
SO CUTE!

Getting Ready to pick up Granny & Grandad

Kayle got all dressed up in her best outfit to go to the airport and pick up her Granny & Grandad from England.
She chose her poshest outfit... and then proceeded to cover it in sick right before we were supposed to leave for the airport!
Aunty Natalia bought her this outfit... she loves it!
Thanks Nat!

Kayles First Bath

Jason and I tag teamed and gave Kayle her first bath on Monday before we headed to meet Kayle's new doctor.
She did really well considering she was having her first bath. At first she didn't really react, but then once we started washing her and pouring the warm water over her she started to cry. Hopefully, she will start to enjoy it sooner rather than later!

Hanging out with Daddy!

Kayle certainly likes to hang out with her Daddy...
It's so cute to see them together... Jason is such a big softy when it comes to his daughter!

Kayle's Name

A few people have asked Jason and I about Kayle's name and if we changed it and how it is pronounce it... so, we wanted to clarify it for everyone.

Her name is pronounced KALE... like rhyming with DALE, and PALE
but we added the Y to it because we liked it better and it was more girlie.

It's not KAY-LE...

Hope that clarifys it for those who were asking.

At home... all comfy and relaxed!

So, we are home already... we left the hospital exactly 32 hours after we checked in!
Is that a world record??

Jason and I are certainly happy to be at home in our own bed with our own things and with a TV with more than 5 channels!
