PARTY!!!!

Kayle's birthday finally arrived... and so did one of the worst storms we have seen in Washington since we have been here!! We were getting insane gusts of winds and rain that has basically flooded our front & back garden! So, Yesterday, we put up our really big tent that goes over our boat so that all Kayle's riends had somewhere dry to stand!

Kayle is MAD about animals at the moment and so we made her birthday a Farm theme! Everyone was coming dressed up as Farmers and her cupcakes were the same... or at least they were supposed to be farm animals!
We made Sheep..... (That looked like cotton wool balls with eyes!)

... and Pigs! (that looked like pink frogs!)
But... needless to say, everyone enjoyed them!
So... here are some of the best dressed from the party!!
A little cow... Brenna!
The Wilson Family... our local cattle ranching farmers!
Then came Birthday cake time... we gave Kayle a big pig cupcake and all sang happy Birthday to her! She was smiling the whole time and loved the attention!
We thought she would devour the cupcake seeing as she was trying to get at them the whole time they were sat on the table... but she was quite delecate about it and ate it a little piece at a time!
Her friend Thea... on the other hand... devoured hers in no time at all!!
MORE PRESENTS.... Crazy! She loved opening all her presents and was TRUELY blessed by everyone!!
Thank you to everyone for all the presents and for coming to her party! She has so much fun... and despite being really tired, didn't go to bed till really late because she was still running around with her balloons saying 'Kayle birthday party!'

More presents....

Kayle's MiMi (Jason's Mum) arrived Friday night with even more presents for Kayle. She is such a lucky girl! She got a big box of clothes!

She had lots of fun holding her clothes up to herself to see if they fit!
THANK YOU MiMi & Papa!

Birthday Presents from England

On Friday, Kayle got to open her birthday presents from England... on Skype! It was fantastic... she sat on the sofa and opened all her pressies from her Granny, Grandad & Uncles & Aunties in England, while some of them watched on Skype.

She was so excited that Granny, Grandad & Uncle Steven were watching... she was really cute opening her presents.

Cards were first.... we opened and read all her cards from all her Aunties, Uncles, Grandparents, Great-grandparents, great Aunties & Uncles.
She was so excited by all her new presents.

Kayle got to open a pressie from her Uncle Paul & Auntie Sarah... she loved her new cup! Kayle is loving drinking out of a straw right now... and her new cup has a cool straw!

Kayle was a very lucky little girl who got so many new things! THANK YOU EVERYONE!

Big Girl Bed

With Kayle turning 2 in a week, Jason and I decided that we should start looking for a Toddler bed for her. My Mum & Dad decided that they would really like to buy her new bed as a Christmas present... so we started looking seriously.
The morning I started looking, this fantastic, almost new bed, popped up on Craigslist... so, we went and got it! It's an early Christmas present, but she loves it!
We've had a few nights of getting used to not climbing out, but she is doing really well staying in her bed and calling Mummy!
Thanks Granny & Grandad for the best bed!

Tinkle, Tinkle...

On our way home from the Port Angeles Dungenous Crab & Seafood Festival, Kayle was in a singing mood and decided that she wanted to sing 'Twinkle, Twinkle' & 'Humpty Dumpty'. It took us a while, butwe eventually got her on video singing!

Cabs Daddy... Cabs!

Yesterday, we decided to head to Port Angeles to go to the Dungenous Crab & Seafood Festival. Why? I hear you ask... you don't even like seafood... but Jason LOVES seafood! So, we packed up and headed out the door.

It was a 2 1/2 hour drive, but it was worth it. We got to see some great sights and Kayle LOVED the ferry rides.
When we got there, the weather was OK, but they forecast major rain... and boy, did we get it! We got soaked! We headed into the main 'Food Tent', not only to get out of the rain, but also so Jason and Kayle could eat. (I had already spotted some pizza outside!)

The tent was decorated really nicely. There were all kids of hand-made sea creatures hanging from the roof of the tent, which Kayle loved looking at.

When the rain cleared up a bit, we headed outside. Not only so I could get something to eat, but also so Kayle could take a closer look at some live crabs! She was really brave when they were in the tank. She was touching them through the glass and having tons of fun with Jason.

THEN.... this guy got one out or her to take a closer look at! It was hilarious! She jumped back and wouldn't leave Jason's side!

We tried to convince her to touch it, but she wasn't having any of it! She just stood back and watched Daddy touch it!

We walked around the rest of the festival, I got a yummy baked potato & ice-cream to eat and then we decided it was time to leave.
Kayle decided that she was going to sing nearly the whole way home (apart from then she was asleep!) Take a look at the next post of the video we got it her singing!
We headed back to the ferry port for our ride home. It was still rainging, but Kayle had SO much fun running around and letting the wind and rain hit her face.

She was hanging on the rail letting the wind blow her hair all over the place! So cute!

We had a really great day out! Needless to say, we were all very tired by the time we got home!

Meeting the animals with Thea

When Julie & I took Kayle and Thea to the Zoo, we managed to get some cute shots of the girls (when they actually stopped running around for 5 minutes!)

They can be quite mischievous when left to do their own thing! (But they were cute doing it!)

Fun wih our Emglish Friend Julie Julie

Julie, my friend from college in England, came over to visit us for a week... it was great to see her! We did all the fun 'tourist' things. We went into Seattle and we took Kayle & her litte friend Thea to the Zoo. They had so much fun looking at all the animals and running around like crazy!
On our way home from the Zoo, we drove past the big field where the Elk live and BOOM... there they were just hanging out. It was really cool to stop and just sit and watch them for a little while.
We also went to Snoqualmie Falls.. it was fun being the tourist guide to Julie!

I got a day off work and we spent the day walking around the local lakes... we went to Rattlesnake lake & did a 'photo shoot' with Kayle & Julie!!

We all had a wonderful time and were sorry to see Julie go home!
