Jason, Kayle and I got on the train and headed to Bath for Easter weekend to relax a bit before my surgery. We booked our tickets in advance so get a great deal. First stop... Bath Abbey.
It was spectacular from the outside! The architecture is amazing.
Then we walked around the town centre for a while sussing things out. My wonderful husband surprised me with a huge bunch of Lillies too!
Our sweet little lady got tired... so tired, that she fell asleep in her pushchair! We propped her up and went and got some yummy lunch!
We went to the Roman Baths while we were there. They are amazing... old... and amazing. It was fun to walk around and listen to the commentary.
This is the oldest Royal Cresent in Bath.
It is a huge block of terraced housing in a arch shape. So beautiful.
While we were at the Royal Cresent, we took Kayle to the biggest playground we have ever seen. This was her treat of the trip! It had so much stuff in there for her to play on. We were there for ages and she had so much fun!
She was so brave trying all the new toys and playframes. She did so well to go on things by herself. It was fun to watch her playing!
Kayle being a pirate on watch!
She loved riding these horses! She kept coming back to them again and again!
I love this picture of her in this tunnel!
Needless to say, she slept well that night!
Jason's treat for the trip was to go on a boat ride down the river. It was wonderful to see Bath from a different perspective.
These tulips were in the town center... we love tulips!
Bath Abbey at night all lite up. It looked spectacular!
On our last morning, we decided to go to the local glass blowing showroom. It was amazing to watch the guy make a vase from a lump of glowing goop! We got a token for Kayle to blow a glass bubble, but she was too shy, so Jason blew it for her. He blew so hard that the bubble dropped off the end of the rod!
We all had a wonderful time. It was a nice short break for us all!
