8 months old already

I cannot believe that Kayle is 8 months old already... it seems like only yesterday that we were bringing home a little tiny bundle of baby!

We weighed & measured her to keep a check on her.

She is about 19lbs 5oz and is 29 1/2 inches long.

Kayle's first birthday party

Kayle got to go to her first birthday party last weekend. We went over to Hannah & Richard's house for Thea's 1st birthday party. We had lots of fun hanging out with all Thea's friends.

Some seriously yummy food was put together by Hannah with some help from family.

... and then we all dug into some yummy cake... made by Mummy!

Of course, the best part was opening the pressies and playing with them!

A birthday trip to the Zoo

Today Kayle and I went to the zoo with Aunty Pauline, Uncle David, Hannah, Richard and the birthday girl... Thea! We had lots of fun looking at the extremely active animals. I couldn't believe how many animals we saw this time that we missed the last time we were there... the Gorillas were so active, we got to see the big Silver Back called Pete, the Tigers and Orangutans.

Fun was had by all... especially the birthday girl!

Kayle had a great time, so great in fact that she refused to sleep for more than 25 mins ALL DAY until we got in the car to go home when she fell asleep as soon as I started the car!

We can't wait for Thea's 1st birthday party on Saturday.

Aunty Pauline has come to visit

Aunty Pauline and Uncle David came to visit us last weekend. They came over to see us and for Thea's 1st birthday. We had fun with them while they were here with us. We went shopping, did some gardening and went for a walk around Rattlesnake Lake.

Officially 30 years old... oh boy!

I am officially 30 years old! I had a wonderful birthday BBQ with my family and friends. We celebrated in style with good old burgers, hot dogs and Red Neck Golf. For those of you hwo are unsure what that is, it is a great new game we learnt how to play where to basically throw golfs balls joined with string and try to loop them around a plastic pipe type thing! Sick Baby Girl

Our poor little baby girl had her first seriously high termperature this week. She has been a bit 'off' for a few days and hardly sleeping, but yesterday she was really upset all day and extremely hot. When I took her temperature it was 102.6! It didn't help that it was over 92 outside!

We did everything we could to lower her temperature and she was feeling much better by the time it was bed time.
