Painting with a 1 year old... NEVER AGAIN!
First of all... here is a SIMPLE tip from one mother to another... DO NOT PAINT WITH A 1 YEAR OLD!
Kayle and I got all organised and ready for upcoming birthday's and got frames that you paint. There was me thinking it would be easy to get Kayle to slap a bit of paint onto the frames and give them as presents... little did I know!
We got all ready to paint...
1. Paper covering the floor... CHECK.
2. Naked Baby... CHECK.
3. Paint all ready in a tub... CHECK.
4. Frames at hand... CHECK.
5. Baby who wants to paint all over the paper and not the frames... CHECK!!
I had to encourage her a little... but that turned into a fight and then she just decided to paint everything except the frames AND paper!
Oh boy... did it get nasty! But we did have fun too!
Needless to say, I will be waiting a little bit longer before I paint again!

Cool New Toy
At work last week, Kayle got to play in a big box with some of the kids at work and she had so much fun. So when she saw me unpack another box from when we moved, she grabbed it and got straight to work!

Ponytail anyone?
Kayle's hair has got so long so quickly... I tried to put it up in a ponytail the other morning expecting a struggle but Kayle let me put it up with now problems.

Kayles First bike
Kayle got a very generous present from her Uncle Steven & Auntie Sophie for her 1st birthday back in October, but we saved the money till we found something that she needed... well, we found it!
We bought Kayle this wicked Radio Flyer Trike!
Its a bike & a tricycle in one!
It has a handle on the back that allows us to help her steer, but as she gets older the handle comes off so she can ride the Trike herself... genius!
We took Kayle out for the first time this morning when we walked to the little restaurant down the road for breakfast. She had so much fun holding on tight while her Daddy pushed her along. She didn't want to get off it when we got home.
