New Kids on the Block... oh yes... you read right!

If you know me, you know I love New Kids On The Block and have done since I was about 10 years old... so, when they announced their new tour, I was first on the starting block to buy tickets.  I got 12 tickets and planned a girls night out!

We all dressed in pink, decorated the Nap Van and hit the road for the concert!  

We grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed over to the Tacoma Dome!

As you may be able to tell... I was just a little excited when they came on!

The cencert didn't just include New Kids... it was also Boyz 2 Men and 98 degrees!

We all had a great time dancing and singing!

I love my friends!

4th July Celebrations with friends

This 4th of July, we decided to go quiet... last year was too much for us!

We went out on the boat as a family and just relaxed swimming in the lake and driving around.   We parked up and had a yummy lunch and then met our friends for dinner and fireworks!

We drove the boat over to gas Works Park and got comfy... while we were waiting for the fireworks to start, someone let off an illegal firework and it set a boat storage unit on fire!  

Our quiet night turned into another adventure, but we had a fabulous time with our friends!

Dance Recital

Kayle has been taking dance lessons for the last 6 months and today was performance day!  It was Dance Recital Day!

 She got to perform 2 dances this year... a tap routine and a ballet routine... she did such an amazing job.  I was so proud of her!

So grown up already!

Julie comes to visit... Birthday trip!

This is Julie... she is my wonderful friend Julie... Julie and I have been friends since University!  

Julie came to visit for my birthday so we planned a fun, last minute trip to Victoria, Canada!

We booked the Victoria Clipper and packed a bag and took off for 3 days with our other wonderful friends Terrance, Kari and Elijah!

Jason and I have been to Victoria before, but Julie hasn't so it was really fun taking her to explore!

Something I have always wanted to do is go on a Whale Watching Trip... so as a gift for my birthday, we did it!  We jumped on a boat and hit the open waves and went and found us some whales!

It was wonderful seeing them swimming around!

Right before we went to Victoria, it was Terrance and Kari's wedding Anniversary, so we took Elijah for the night and they went for a nice romantic dinner!

Science Center Fun with friends

As part of our 'Making Memories' family moto, my sweet Kayle wanted to go and see the Dinosaurs at the Science Center, so we waited for our fabulous friend Julie to arrive from England then planned out trip!  We had a fantastic time looking at the dinosaurs....

Swimming like a fish... almost!

In preparation for our trip to Spain... swim lessons!

Kayle loves being in the water, but I am always so worried because she can't quite swim so we put her in swim lesson so that when we got to Spain, she would be confident in the water.

She really enjoyed her lessons... most of the time!

She did such a great job learning to hold her breath under the water and float!

Horse Riding Fun

My wonderful friend Denise took me horse riding again now that I am not so wobbly!

I love horse riding with Denise... it is so relaxing!
