New Headbands

Kayle and I got some nice new headbands from Auntie Kathy, Auntie Pauline and Granny.
The ones we got from Auntie Pauline and Auntie Kathy were wonderful hand-made ones and best of all, they were matching! Kayle and I have matching headbands!

Here is Kayle modeling her headband from Auntie Kathy! I'll get some photos of us sporting our matching ones and post them later!
Thank you Auntie Kathy and Auntie Pauline for our lovely headbands!

Helping Daddy

Our tumble dryer broke a few weeks ago... we found out what we needed to fix and headed to the shop... Jason needed some help finding the right part... Kaye actually found it for him and was so happy she could help!

Lots of fun times with our friends

Since I have been having chemo and spending lots of time at the hospital, Kayle has been having lots of fun with her friends... she gets to go to her friends houses and they get to come over and play a lot at the moment!
Kayle got to hang out with Toby, our 'boss'... Toby made a quick trip to Target (our fave shop!) and treated Kayle to a beautiful Princess Dora dress and a horse toy... then when they got home they had a 'spa day'. Kayle got to have her finger nails painted and then once she was done, she wanted to paint Toby's finger nails!
Kayle did a great job... she may have a future in the nail salon market!!

Kayle got to pop out to Target (our fave shop) for a shopping trip!

Kayle had her friends over last weekend... Kayle and Melody disappeared... Look where we found them!!
Under the table... hiding... so they could suck their dummies (pacifiers!)

Fun Times at work

Before Kayle and I stopped working as Nanny to a wonderful family in Renton, we got a few photos of Kayle having fun 'helping Mummy with the laundry'. Now, Kayle's idea of 'helping' is... um.... well, just look at the photos and see!
Kayle took a break from helping with the laundry...
We officially stopped working the week before I started my chemo and we REALLY miss our work family.

Kayle's picks...

As some of you already know, Kayle is quite the fashionista! She loves to pick her own clothes and dress herself! So because we were getting into arguments every morning over what she was to wear, we came to an agreement... she gets to pick her own outfit every other day! Here are some of HER outfits!

And yes, we did leave the house in these outfits because these are HER DAY OUTFITS and so I have to let wear them or I don't get to pick my outfit for her!

My ballerina is back!

On Thursday 9th February, Kayle got to go back to dance class!

She had so much fun when we were in England, I always wanted her to start again when we moved back to America, but the classes here are more expensive, so we have put it off and put it off, and now I am sick and cannot work, we certainly can't afford it.

Well, some wonderful family friends have paid for Kayle to do the class! She has joined a Ballet, Tap and Tumble class with 3 of her little friends and is loving it! This is the first time she has done Tap dancing and Tumble class.
She LOVED wearing the tap shoes... another wonderful story... you are responsible for buying the shoes, they are not cheap! But, the Dance school, Ignite Dance and Yoga, gave Kayle a pair of Tap shoes as a gift to make her smile, and me smile!

Here is my ballerina doing her Ballet class!

And here she is with her little friends in her class!

It was so wonderful for me to watch her have so much fun dancing around and enjoying herself. I am so grateful to our friends and the school for being so generous!
THANK YOU!

The Chemo beings... again!

On Wednesday 8th February I received my first dose of Chemotherapy. Along with the Chemo comes a number of tests and lots of monitoring because I am also taking a Clinical Trial Drug.

So far, I am feeling OK... I am keeping on top of the nausea by taking my Anti-Nausea medication. The tiredness is pretty bad already. I feel like I have just run a marathon.

For more information on exactly what we have been through the last week, you can catch up on my Caring Bridge Website.
