The fish weren't biting

Jason, Ken and I went to Walmart...
we got ourselves some fishing poles
and some bait and hit the open seas...

The weather wasn't very good so that's what we are blaming for us not catching anything...

The boys got tired and put out the beds and so I took over... I almost caught something but instead the blasted fish took my bait.

I did however make a new friend... his name was Sid... 'Sid the Squid'! I used Sid to try to catch some fish but nothing happened, so I wanted to make Sid my new pet... Jason thought otherwise... he threw Sid overboard when Sid slapped him in the face! I was distraught to see my new friend left to die in the open waters!

Blue Thunder has a make over...

Ladies and Gentlemen... I proudly introduce the new and improved Blue Thunder.....

Jason and I have basically done a heck of a lot to improve our boat... we bought marine vinyl and replaced all the interior ourselves... we bought new seats that turn into beds, we buffed out all the oxidation on the paint on the outside to make it brighter and we added a wakeboarding tower... thats what that big metal thing is on top of Blue Thunder...

It took us a while to get everything done but now it looks great, it looks like a brand new boat!

We are so proud of all our hard work!

Blue Thunder - BEFORE

I know there are photos of Blue Thunder already on this but I just wanted you to be able to compare the original Blue Thunder with the New and Improved Blue Thunder... so here is the interior in the original boat...

Testing, Testing, 1, 2, 3

So, we took Blue Thunder down to Mission Bay in San Diego to test out the new wakeboarding tower for the first time. We thought it would be a bit hotter than it actually was so we didn't get much time in the water... Plus the hundreds of jellyfish kept us out too!

But, before we left to come home we had to test the tower, so Ryan, Spider Girl and Jason got in and had a blast... the tower worked great and all 3 of them got up first time and hit it big!!

I have to admit, it was a little cold for me but i will get out there very soon!

Rocking out in the sun

This weekend Jason and I took out some of our friends from our
church group on the boat... we had a blast. We found another big old pod of dolphins and played with them for a little while. There was one dolphin who had some random white bits on him, he was funny looking.

Everyone had fun cruising the waters and hitting the waves..

Diane, Franks Girlfriend enjoyed being bounced around on the waves the most, but Frank wasn't convinced because he was getting banged about a bit too much!

We let Abbie drive for a little while, but Frank didn't think that was a good idea... he was pretty much petrified! It was hilarious to see a grown man so scared... but then it was Abbie who was driving!

The new tower arrives

Jason and I drove to San Diego last weekend to pick up our new wakeboard tower...

Jason installed it Saturday morning and it looks great... we love it.

Jonah mEATs sand!

It's official... Jonah loves the beach!


Ryan took Jonah to the beach for a introductory lesson... and Jonah really had fun! At first he was a little uneasy about the feeling of the sand but once he got comfortable he had a ton of fun touching, playing and EATING the sand!!






Ryan made sure that Jonah was shaded from the sun by making him wear his favorite hat!
